House District 96
Your support and contributions will enable us to win this election and return Virginia to the people.
Kyle Pasquarella grew up in Connecticut, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 2011, and after graduating college served in the Navy for six years. In May of 2023, Kyle moved with his wife Liz to Virginia Beach after she received orders from the Navy, and he was able to transfer to and graduate from Regent University School of Law. Since moving to Virginia, Kyle has served as the Executive Director of Virginians for Reconciliation, a nonprofit focused on racial reconciliation by bringing together leaders who are Black and White, Democrat and Republican to engage in civic and civil discussions.
Kyle brings years of leadership and experience to Virginia Beach. After growing up in Connecticut and later being stationed in California Kyle had been a supporter of the Democratic Party. However, in 2018 he witnessed firsthand how policies he once supported contributed to business like General Electric leaving Connecticut and several others to leave California, resulting in significant job losses. Upon moving to Virginia, it became clear that these States had policies in place that, if brought to Virginia, would harm every day Virginians, businesses, and education. He is running to be an advocate against these harmful policies and prevent further migration of people and businesses. Kyle is focused on furthering policies that promote unity, prosperity, and freedom.
Lower Taxes and the Cost of Living - Last year, the Democratic Controlled General Assembly refused to hold a vote to eliminate the Car Tax and proposed the largest tax increase in Virginia's history. We need leaders who will lower the tax burden on average citizens, and Kyle will propose and vote for legislation to lower taxes and spending.
Education - The Virginia Constitution guarantees a high quality, free public education to all students. Kyle will focus on ways we can further that promise to help the next generation and ensure both education quality and equality. To achieve this, he will seek recommendations from the state and local school boards, educators, parents and students to identify and address Virginia's educational needs.
Veterans and First Responders - Virginians have long fought for the freedoms and privileges we enjoy each day. Kyle will work on legislation to reduce taxes on Veterans and make Virginia a more competitive place for our armed forces to end their careers and make Virginia their home. First responders similarly ensure our collective safety and should be rewarded similarly for their service.
Kyle's love of serving and volunteer work started with joining the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2011. The exposure the Boy Scouts gave Kyle grew a lifelong passion to create better communities wherever he lived, resulting in his awarding of the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
After graduating from Southern Connecticut State University, Kyle enlisted in the Navy. Throughout his time on active duty, Kyle mentored and trained other sailors on how to apply to college, use Veterans benefits, and became a Surface Rescue Swimmer. In May of 2024, Kyle reenlisted into the Navy Reserves to continue serving the nation.
